With in the already erroneously interpreted doctrine of mainstream Christianity there exist (thanks to verbis.wordpress) a problem that, I feel, will eternally usurp the complete reality of baseline protestants and evangelicals. That problem is called the problem of evil. Thanks to my current investigations of the possible one-hundred percent logical problems with certain Christian denomination, I have finally found a ground breaker –the problem of evil. Here is the basic summarized version:
1. If God exist, then God is omnipotent, omniscient, and morally perfect.
2. If God is Omnipotent, then God has the power to eliminate all evil.
3. If God is omniscient, then God knows when evil exist.
4. If God is morally perfect, then God has all the desire to eliminate all evil.
5. Evil Exist.
6. If evil exist and God exist, then either God doesn’t have the power to eliminate all evil, or doesn’t know when evil exist doesn’t have the desire to eliminate all evil.
7. Therefore, God doesn’t exist

How can Christianity stand if it cant logically resolve the very problem of evil! I know that the owner of the web page that I stole this idea from is attempting to solve this problem in a logical manner. I really don’t think it is possible! It is quite unsolvable!
You see, for every answer provided one could merely say, “God, if he is omnipotent, could make something better than that.” Eventually it becomes a paradox! And there is no possible solution!
Well good luck all the Christians and believers.

Matt,
I help you get a blog going and this is how you repay me! J/k
I don’t mind the discussion. Well first I think you have failed to really read my posts.
If God has a morally significant reason for evil then it is permisable. Furthermore, God is perfect–>God created this world> thus this world is perfect in terms of what God requires for men.

Matt,
All you have ‘proved’ is that human logic doesn’t apply to God. It’s like trying to explain quantum physics to an ant. By His very definition God is way too hard for our small skulls to grasp – if He was, He wouldn’t be God anymore.
Keep battling!

matt,
Being a christian myself i read ur comments. I lie if i told u that i have never had those thoughts before myself. If God is real then why did 9-11 happen, if He is real then why do children get hurt and good people get killed? There is one answer when God made man He made us different from any thing else He made. He gave us a WILL. We chose what we do not God. God can only work in what is His temple, those who have decicated their life to Him, those who let Him live and have His way in them. No it is mot a bed of roses living for Jesus Christ, but it sure does make it easy to live when u know u are His and He has already won the Final battle over life and death 2000 years ago. No God can’t control evil that is not His domain that is our enemy that wants to steal, kill and destory anything that has to do with God. Satan has a big ego, and he wants to be the number One. We cant blame Satan though he is just doing his job. He is the Father of evil. God is the one who sent His only Son to Die For all ManKind, Satan has only brought us disase, death, aids, earthquakes, and anything that has to do with dying in an horrible way. He is the one whi tells u God is not real, he trying to get the whole world behind him. But i read the back of the Bible and he loses Big Time, All Christians Win whi have Jesus as thier Lord and Saviour.
So see there has to be evil and good so we as humans have a fair choice to chose wheather or not we want good or evil.
